Essays have to be:

• Typed
• Double Spaced
• 12 size font, Times New Roman

If you can't print, you can bring it in on a flash drive or you can always email me it.

Your explanatory essay about your invention is due on Monday! Your work needs to be five paragraphs (intro, 3 body, conclusion), typed, Times New Roman and 12 size font.

This will be counted as an assessment grade.

There was no narrative due this week for homework. Students have been working on their essay in class. Students have been working on using imagery and symbolism in their writing.

Please be advised that next week is a shortened week for teacher convention. There will be no school Thursday and Friday.

In Class:

Students learned about creating a strong character. Students where then given a prompt wherein they were to write a short story utilizing their newly created character.

Homework:

3-4 page short story is due Thursday.
There is no vocabulary quiz this week because of the shortened schedule.

Announcements:

Interim reports are being sent home on Wednesday.

In Class:

Students finished Unit 1 Benchmark assessment today. Students who were not present in class today to finish their exam will be finishing them on Monday.

Homework:

There was no homework assigned today.

Special Announcements:

Progress reports will be sent home with each student next week attached with a slip for a parent teacher conference if needed. If you receive a request for a conference, please send the slip back signed with your child to school.
